This is a documentary feature film that has been more than 20 years in the making. Shot on a variety of mediums – from Hi-8 videotape to Super 16mm film – the movie charts the career of an unheralded blues duo whose journey reflected the times they lived in. Born on the streets of Harlem in the early 1990’s, Satan and Adam were an unlikely match: a street-hardened African-American who busked for spare change, and a Caucasian, Ivy-League graduate nearly half his age. Together they formed an unholy alliance. Against the conflict and racial strife happening in New York City at the time, they flourished and captivated audiences with their electrifying, hypnotic backbeat. After decades of giving live performances and recording various LPs, Satan and Adam continue to surprise even themselves. Today, they are remembered fondly by those whose lives they touched, including Reverend Al Sharpton and The Edge from U2. This is that story.
